PURPOSE:To enhance binding force between a propellant powder and a liner, by providing a specified barrier membrane between propellant powder slurry and pressure gas when the propellant powder is pressed and hardened after the slurry is filled in a chamber having an internal surface provided with a lining. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 1 having a motor cell 3 provided, at the internal surface thereof, with a lining 5, is filled therein with propellant powder slurry 4' through a filling port 7 in a conventional way, and is set entirely in a constant temperature oven, being vertically stood therein, after the filling port 7 is closed with a lid plate 9. At this stage, a barrier membrance 17 having a low gas permeability is previously disposed between the chamber 1 and a cover plate 11. Then, high pressure nitrogen gas is charged through a charge port 13 formed in the cover plate 11, for hardening while pressing, the slurry 4' through the barrier membrane 17. Thus, the barrier membrane 17 may prevent pressure gas molecules from entering into the slurry 4', thereby the effect of enhancing binding force by the press-hardening method may be exhibited. |
