PURPOSE:To check a degree of heat transmission from a combustion chamber to a cylinder body, by installing a coating layer consisting of ceramics on at least a cylindrical surface of the cylinder body ion which a cylinder liner consisting of the ceramics is fitted. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 39 consisting of ceramics is installed on at least cylindrical surface 20 of a cylinder body 2 in which a cylinder liner 4 consisting of the ceramics is fitted. And, it is desirable that a coating layer 38 consisting of the ceramics be installed also on an upper end face 2a of the cylinder body 2. As material for the cylinder liner, silicon nitride is used, and as for these coating layers 39 and 38, PSZ is used. With this constitution, heat of combustion gas is restrainable to be transmitted to the cylinder body by way of the cylinder liner 4, while heat transmission from a cylinder heat 1 to the cylinder body 2 is also checkable. |
