PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform signal processing over a wide range without changing over the range of an attenuator, by connecting a logarithmic amplifier to the front stage of the external output terminal connecting an external processing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Voltage supplied from a transmission pulser 3 through an attenuator 2 is sent to an object to be inspected as ultrasonic waves by a probe 1 and the reflected waves are inputted to a high frequency amplifier 4 and a detection video amplifier 5 as a voltage signal through the attenuator 2. A logarithmic amplifier 8 is connected to the high frequency amplifier 4 and the video amplifier 5 through change-over switches 9, 10 and connected to the external output terminal 7 connecting an external processing apparatus. The outputs of both amplifiers 4, 5 are selected by the change-over switches 9, 10 to be allowed to reach the external output terminal 7 through the logarithmic amplifier 8. By this method, a wide range of a signal can be inputted to the external processing apparatus from the external output terminal 7 regardless of the display of a cathode ray tube 6. |
