Linear amplitude modulator comprising a mixer such as a dual gate field-effect transistor 10, and in which the first gate receives the modulating signal and the second gate the carrier to be modulated delivered by a reference oscillator. In this modulator, the drain is connected on the one hand to a DC voltage by way of a first resistor 110 and on the other hand, by way of a first capacitor 100 and a second resistor 120 in series, to the output of the reference oscillator, itself also connected to the second gate by way of a resonator, the mixing ratio of the modulated carrier coming from the transistor and of the unmodulated carrier coming from the said oscillator being fixed by the ratio of the values of the said first and second resistors.
