PURPOSE:To aim to shortening the time of fabrication and the period of construction, by making it possible to lathe a positioning guide part in the core of a nuclear reactor. CONSTITUTION:Upon fabrication of a self-orientating part (positioning guide part) 4 a handling head is gripped by a chuck 8 on an index 7. Then, a cutting tool 11 is rotated together with a holder 10 which is inclined at angle of 25 deg. with respect to the vertical direction. A cut having a suitable depth (for example, 5mm) is formed in the center part of side face end of the handling head, and a table 8 is fed leftward to form an sector angle 3' and an inclined surface 2'. After completion of fabrication the table 6 is fed rightward and is stopped at a position where the workpiece does not interfere with the cutting tool 11. The handling head is rotated for indexing together with the chuck 8, the next side face is brought to the position of fabrication where the above-mentioned steps are repeated subsequently to lathe the workpiece. Thus, the time of fabrication and the period of construction may be shortened. |
