Suspension arm for a motor vehicle, pivoting about a shaft 2 integral with the structure of the vehicle connecting a wheel to a torsion bar 3 that is generally parallel with this shaft 2 and comprising a body 4 of pressed sheet metal and a tubular hub 5 surrounding the pivot shaft 2, in addition to a rigid piece 9 to which the torsion bar 3 is anchored, the arm being characterised in that the rigid piece 9 is integral with the tubular hub 5 of the arm and is supported, above this hub 5, by the edge 10 of a stiffening rib 11 running along the body 4 approximately perpendicularly to the hub 5. <IMAGE>
