The invention relates to a craft, in particular a water craft, with an electric main drive by elements having plane surfaces for accommodating solar modules which contain solar cells and are arranged on perpendicular stays or masts at a distance above the craft by means of horizontal supports. In order to ensure that the electric main drive is suitable here for driving the craft over large distances either on its own or in combination with an electronically controlled sail drive, it is proposed by the invention that additional horizontal supports with elements having plane surfaces be arranged beyond the sides and/or the bow or the stern or the forward and aft boundary of the craft. Here, the supports can be provided with a pivoting device by which they can be pivoted beyond the deck of the water craft. Furthermore, additional towed craft, even in the case of a land craft, can be provided by which the entire solar area is substantially increased. The solar area can thereby be increased by the multiple in land craft as well as in water craft. In water craft, these very large areas also act as air-buoyancy areas, as a result of which the draught of the craft is reduced and the therefore the speed is increased.
