A holder for an electronic component (4) consists of a base (2) and a terminal element (3) which can be pushed from above into an opening (16) in the base (2). The terminal element (3) has a terminal bracket (22, 23) on both sides, which terminal bracket (22, 23) may in each case engage over an electronic component (4) which is placed on the foot (5), and in consequence holds such a component on the foot and against a stop surface (12, 13) on the base (2). A barb-like tooth system (17 - 20) ensures that, although the terminal element (3) can be pushed into the opening (16), it cannot slide out again on its own. <IMAGE>
