They may be obtained by reacting a methanesulphonic acid halide of the formula wherein Hal is Cl or Br, with a phenol of the formula in the presence of an acid binder. Examples are given for the preparation of the compounds. They are useful as nematocides and as such they may be mixed with liquid or solid or liquefied gaseous diluents or carriers. |
