PURPOSE:To form highly safe and highly stiff revetment by a method in which steel plate cells are penetrated into the bottom ground under water, and water- granulated slags and an alkaline substance as a stimulator for the hardening of the slags are packed into the cells. CONSTITUTION:Steel plate cells 3 are penetrated into the treated soil 4 formed by mixing a ground improver with cohesive soil 5 on the support sandy layer 6 of the seabed. A filling material 2 prepared by mixing water-granulated slags with about 10% (based on the slag) Portland cement is packed into the cells 3, and top concrete 1 is then placed. Since the hardening of the slags is promoted to exhibit great resistance forces in a short time, low-cost, highly safe and highly stiff revetment can be formed. |
