PURPOSE:To switch a stabilizer effect on and off at need by providing an operator capable of stopping one end of a coil spring and thereby rotating said spring in a direction of unwinding of the spring. CONSTITUTION:An on/off switching device 16 is provided between a terminal portion 13 of an arm 10 of a stabilizer and a support part 14 for switching a stabilizer effect on and off. A pair of coil springs 33, 34 are wound around an outer periphery of a rod 26 in the interior of an outer cylinder 18 of the device 16. One ends 33a, 34a of the springs 33, 34 are fixed on the side of the outer cylinder 18 only in a direction of rotation thereof, while an operator 38 is stopped on the other ends of the springs. Provided some force to limit the rod 26 is canceled out to permit the rod 26 and the outer cylinder 18 to be relatively movable by rotating, while operating the operator 38, to rotate the sprigs 33, 34 in a direction of unwinding thereof, no stabilizer effect gets available. |
