<p>Knot with a loop is tied around the end of a tubular film. A hook engages the loop and draws a cut length of film from a supply and transfers the film to a discharge station. Here, the loop is unhooked and received by a vertical rod, which accumulates a batch of knotted lengths of film. The hook includes an interlock which is activated if a loop fails to be engaged by the hook. When the interlock is activated, the knotting station is shut down. The appts. produces lengths of sausage casing tied at one end. -</p> |
