Mn sulphate solns. suitable for electrolytic extraction of Mn dioxide are produced from a digestion mixture of a reduced Mn ore, a Fe (III) cpd. such that the mol. ratio of Fe(III) ions to K ions is adjusted to at least 1:1, a cpd. giving Al ions, with Al:K ion - ratio of at least 4:1 and an aq. acid soln. of aq. sulphuric acid or - used aq. electrolyte contg. sulphuric acid, pH being adjusted to 2.1-2.8. The mixt. is digested at a temp. in the range from 50-95 deg.C, producing a reaction prod. of a liq. phase of Mn sulphate - soln. and a solid phase of ore residue and a small-particle complex salt auxiliary prod. or mixt. of such prods. The reaction prod. contains at least one complex salt of formula MnFenAl3-n (SO4)2(OH)6, where M is Na+, K+ or NH4+.
|
