PURPOSE:A linearly running belt is set so that it comes near a rotating drum and staple fibers are fed between the drum and the belt to give fibers twistings enough to form a spum yarn with high yarn tenacity. CONSTITUTION:An endless rubber friction belt running around the driving pulley 12 and the inverted pulley 13 is set near a hollow cylinderical suction drum 1. The fibers from the feeder is opened and sent into the feeding duct 24 and fall down from the opening 29 to a space 28 between the drum 1 and belt 14 and stucked into a belt and twisted sufficiently, as its floating is restricted by sucking and nipping. |
