<p>A catheter for use with a medicinal-product delivery system which comprises a flexible conduit which has a path for fluid through it, a first cannula at the end distant from the conduit, for insertion into a patient, a connector housing at the near end of the conduit which has a passage through it, and a second cannula which extends from the housing and in fluid communication therewith. One embodiment of the present invention includes an elastic hose which covers the second cannula in order to prevent the passage of fluid through it. This hose is intended to be perforated by the second cannula when a force is applied to the hose, thus allowing the passage of fluid through the second cannula, and it is intended to return to its initial position when said force ceases.
