PURPOSE:To obtain a photo-recording element capable of high reliable high- density recording by a method in which at least one of A-layer, B-layer and a light absorptive layer is made up of the monomolecular film or its laminate film of constituent substances and a protective layer is further provided. CONSTITUTION:A laminate consisting of A-layer 2 of a color-forming compound, B-layer 4 of an auxochromic compound and a light absorptive layer 3 of a light absorptive substance which is provided between the A- and B-layers 2 and 4 is supported through the B-layer 4 on a base plate 1, and a protective layer 30 is formed on the A-layer 2. At least one of the A- and B-layers and the layer 2, 4 and 3 is made up of the monomolecular film or its laminate film of constituent substances, and the other layer is formed of deposit films. When infrared rays are irradiated onto them, the compound of the A-layer is contracted with the compound of the B-layer and a chromogenic reaction proceeds to form color points at given positions. Information can thus be recorded. |
