1289135 Anti-oxidant DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 28 Nov 1969 [3 Dec 1968] 58216/69 Heading A2D [Also in Division C2] The invention comprises a mixture of a liquid antioxidant, particularly 5-ethoxy-2, 2, 4- trimethyl-1, 2-dihydroquinoline, for milk substitutes or mixed animal feeds, and an active highly disperse silica. The silica preferably has a specific BET-surface of from 50 to 300 m<SP>2</SP>/g and a primary particle size of less than 500 mÁ in the case of finely divided pyrogenic silica and an average particle size of from 10 to 150 mÁ in the case of finely divided precipitated spray dried silica. The amount of antioxidant present may vary between 10 to 50 weight % of the total antioxidant and silica mixture. |
