PURPOSE:To drive a step motor efficiently by providing a diode to accelerate the erasure of a flyback current, and returning the current to a power source. CONSTITUTION:When phase excitation signals 16 become both high level so that phase exciting transistors 2, 3 both become OFF, a transistor 1 also becomes OFF by the output of a NAND gate 10. A flyback current from a phase coil 6 or 7 in which the current has been flowed so far is flowed to a flyback diode 4 or 5 to a power source, flowed through an earth to a flyback diode 14, and returned to a phase coil 6 or 7. Since a power source operates like a Zener diode having the same voltage value as the voltage in a loop for the flyback current, the flyback current is abruptly erased. |
