PURPOSE:To prevent generation of cavitation by providing heat discharging member like a fin one a coolant passage between a capacitor and coolant supply ing pump in the device in which an engine is cooled by utilizing evaporated latent heat of a liquid phase coolant. CONSTITUTION:A boling and cooling device is provided with a water jacket 2 in which a liquid phase coolant is stored up to the set level, a capacitor 3 condensing coolant steam generated in the jacket by outer air, and a coolant supplying pump 4 operated according to the output of a liquid surface sensor mounted on the jacket 2 and circulating to supply liquid phase coolant in the capacitor 3 to the water jacket 2, and connected in a closed circuit type. In this case, a coolant circulating passage 8 connecting a lower tank 14 provided in series to the lower portion of the capacitor 3 and storing liquefied coolant temporarily and the pump 4 is formed by a metal pipe. Plural fins 19 are provided on the outer surface of the metal pipe and the liquid phase coolant is effectively cooled by utilizing traveling wind. |
