PURPOSE:To produce a reliable support force by the use of the weight of a building serving as the driving reaction force of a steel pipe pile, by a method wherein a trench is excavated along an existing foundation, an auxiliary metal for driving a steel pipe pile is brought into contact with the side of the existing foundation for securing, and a steel pipe pile is driven with the aid of a hydraulic jack mounted to the metal. CONSTITUTION:A trench 3 is excavated along an existing foundation 1 of a building 12, the footing of the existing foundation 1 is cut, an auxiliary metal 11 for driving a steel pipe pile is brought into contact with the side of the existing foundation 1, a support plate 10 at the lower end of the metal tool 11 is joined with the bottom of the existing foundation 1, and a hydraulic jack 13 is attached to a groove bottom 6 of the upper end of the metal 11. A steel pipe pile 2 is inserted into an guide block on the bottom of the trench 3, and the steel pipe pile 2 is driven with the aid of the hydraulic jack 13. A channel steel 5 and the hydraulic jack 13 are removed, temporary forms are installed in the trench 3, and concrete is placed to build a new foundation. This causes driving of the steel pipe pile 2 by utilizing the weight of the building 12 serving as a reaction force, resulting in production of a reliable support force. |
