PURPOSE:To reduce a punching force by setting the gap between a punch and the relief hole of a die in the specified dimension. CONSTITUTION:The gap between a punch and the relief hole of a die of the case of performing a punching shear work is set in 0.04-0.08mm. irrespective of the plate thickness and quality. According to the test result of the punching shear work which the quality and thickness of a plate were changed respectively the shearing force of the punch is made bigger and the resisting force of the plate material is increased if the clearance is too small. In case of the clearance being taken larger the increase in the punching force due to the elastic force of the plate material is caused. Namely by setting the clearance irrespective of the plate thickness and quality with said method the punching force is reduced and the life of punch, die is prolonged. |
