PURPOSE:To facilitate the attachment and detachment of a developing device by sliding the developing device to a rotary drum side by a spring while detaching member which is rotated up to a reference position is engaged with an engagement pin. CONSTITUTION:A support frame 5 mounted in the lower chamber of the copying machine body 1 so that it can be drawn out through a vertical front surface plate 18 is supported while a rotary drum 41, developing device 43, and cleaner are held at accurate positions. The rotary drum 41 is set on the support frame 5 and projecting flat plate parts of the developing device 43 are engaged with respective guide grooves and the developing device is moved toward the rotary drum 41; and the detaching member 509 is rotated upward around a shaft 513 while the engagement pin 421 is stood right on the recessed part 511 of the detaching member 509 to engage the engagement pin 421 with the recessed part 511, so that the detaching member 509 and developing device 43 are moved toward the rotary drum 41 by the spring 515. |
