PURPOSE:To automatically switch optimum fuel, by a method wherein, in a kerosene engine which feeds gasoline during the starting a valve, opened and closed in response to the temperature of an engine, is located in a gasoline feed passage. CONSTITUTION:A tank 2, storing gasoline for the starting, is located in a tank l in which kerosene is stored as main fuel, and carburetor 6' in which float chambers 8 and 19 are formed, is communicated with each tank. A gasoline reservoir 13 is installed so that it surrounds a jet for nozzle 7 located at the lower part of the float chamber 8 for main fuel, and an opening, through which gasoline from the float chamber 19 for gasoline is introduced, is formed at the interior. A valve 140, opened during low temperature operation of an engine, is located halfway along a fuel passage from the float chamber 19 for gasoline. The valve 140 is adapted to directly detect the temperature of an engine by means of wax or to introduce cooling water, and is operated according to said occasions. |
