发明名称 LOW PRESSURE MERCURY VAPOR DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a low pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp that ensures the holding of amalgam by coating the circumferential surface of a substrate made of high melting point materials with an amalgam layer. CONSTITUTION:A luminous tube 8 is provided with an electrode 17 on both ends and seals ionizing media including a preset amount of mercury inside. Amalgam 20 that controls the mercury vapor pressure within the luminous tube 8 at normal lighting is installed in a capillary 18 that is connected to one end of the luminous tube 8 and performs gas substitution. After this amalgam performs the exhaust within the luminous tube 8, it is input to the capillary 18 from the tip opening section of the capillary 18. Since a diaphragm section 2 is formed on the way to the capillary 18, the amalgam 20 is housed and held in the space between the sealing end 22 of the capillary 18 and diaphragm section 21, omission is cheched up. As a result, the coating area of the amalgam layer for the substrate can fully be secured.
