A device for the trimming of tree trunks involves trimming blades (2, 3, 4), a feed unit (12) to achieve mutual agitation between the blades and the tree trunk, a power unit (18, 19, 20) to effect the necessary power to override the feed units forward motion when the trimming blades have removed one or more twigs, or a certain cutting limit is applied to the blades, to move them along the tree trunk's longitudinal direction which determines the use of extra power, as well as a holding unit (28) for connecting to the tree trunk on the engaging of extra power in order to hold the tree trunk stationary relative to the feeder unit (12).<IMAGE> |
