摘要 PURPOSE:To allow the car speed to be smoothly shifted from the high to the low and vice versa by configurating a device in such a way that the direct connection of an input and out put shafts which are arranged coaxially provides a car with a high speed run, and the coupling of an input gear with an output gear through a counter gear provides the car with a low speed run. CONSTITUTION:This power transmission device A allows a high speed unit A1 and a drive shaft unit A2 to be installed on their front and rear sides respectively in such a way they are arranged on the same straight line in the same case C. Here, the unit A1 shifts the speed from the high speed run to the low speed run and vice versa, and the unit A2 shifts the drive from the four wheel drive to the two wheel drive and vice and versa. The shift unit A1 allows the route of transmitting a drive power for the low speed to be established starting from an input shaft 1, an input gear 7, counter gear 10, and an output gear 8 to an input shaft 2. This device is configurated in such a manner that the connection of a frictional clutch 12 to the device allows the input shaft 1 to be directly connected with the output shaft 2 without passing through the counter gear 10, and also the connection of the second frictional clutch 13 to the device allows the route of transmitting a drive power for the low speed to be directly connected without passing through a one-way clutch 6.
