In a rotary-piston positive-displacement driven machine the object of the invention is to seal the planar sealing planes between the end faces of the displacement body (5) carrying out a revolving movement and the lateral faces (20) running parallel thereto of the fixed casing (7). To achieve this object, the end faces of the displacement body (5) are provided with a groove (13), lying in which there is a resilient sealing strip (14) made of low-friction material. The sealing strip is pressed against the lateral wall (20) by a metallic spring (15). The spring is in one piece, extends over the whole length of the groove and consists of a multiplicity of butted rectangular elements having a flat spring characteristic curve. One spring end (15c) rests transversely on the flat bottom of the groove, the free spring end (15d) acting transversely on the underside of the sealing strip over almost the entire width thereof. <IMAGE>
