<p>The level of the molten metal bath in the mould during electro slag remelting is controlled by means of two immersion electrodes, which are connected with an indicator, an automatic controller and a current source. The electrodes consists of a material resistant to molten slag attack at the operating temp. The electrodes, which measure the difference in resistance of the melt between each other, permit improved process control.</p> |
