<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the sorting operation and improve substantially the efficiency of the operation in a goods sorting installation by juxtaposing and utilizing a free conveyer along the side of a conveyer for transferring containers of goods. CONSTITUTION:A conveyer 1 for transferring containers 2 in which goods are contained by kinds in the direction of arrow A has storage positions B for stopping the container 2 at a plurality of spots. At the side of the conveyer 1 is juxtaposed a free conveyer 4 provided with a plurality of free rollers, and at the side of the free conveyer 4 are disposed a plurality of load keeping units 5. Indicators 6 installed corresponding to the load keeping units 5 indicate the number of goods. An operator 7 takes a predetermined number of goods out of the container 2 on the conveyer 1 and put them in a case on the free conveyer 4 to dump goods into the load keeping unit 5 according to the indication of the indicator 6 while transferring the case or transfer goods from said unit 5 to the container 2 while transferring the case.</p> |
