PURPOSE:To keep stable life characteristics of a check valve and to control injection rate prevailing during during the initial stage of injection to a low value, by a method wherein a check valve chamber is located, and the lift speed of a needle valve is controlled. CONSTITUTION:A check valve 13 is formed independently from an accumulator chamber 12 and a needle spring chamber 21. Ports 32a and 33a are open to the side of a check valve chamber 13, and this prevents a fuel pressure in the accumulator 12 and the needle spring chamber 21 from being exerted on a check valve 14. Thus, lift characteristics of the check valve 14 are decided by the set load of a check valve spring 15. Fuel accumulated with a pressure in the needle spring chamber 21 is gradually decreased in a pressure by gradually lifting a control valve 23. |
