PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply and easily detect the two-dimensional positional deviation of an object as an absolute amount without requiring the processing of enormous information, by arbitrarily indicating the point of the object taken in from an image input system and displayed on a display picture on an image. CONSTITUTION:An object 6 is caught by an image input system 1 such as an ITV camera or optical fiber and the image thereof is displayed on monitor 5 while the distance from the leading end of the image input system 1 to the object 6 is measured by a distance measuring means 2 suc as an ultrasonic sensor to be applied to an operation means 4. If an operator allows a pen chip to press the point on the punctural coordinates input means 3 corresponding to the measuring point in a display picture in this state, the positional deviation from the point predetermined by an operation means or the reference point indicated by the punctual coordinates input means 3 can be easily and simply detected as an absolute amount. |
