PURPOSE:To secure a sufficient flow of cooling water among valves and cylinders, by installing each water hole and a water passage, interconnecting each of water jackets inside a cylinder head and a cylinder block, in case of a cross- flow type internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water is first fed to water jackets 17 and 18 each corresponding to the side where a suction passage and an exhaust passage are installed at the inside of a cylinder block 11 by a water pump. If so, this cooling water goes up as cooling the cylinder block 11, while a part of the cooling water passes through a water passage 24 of a tilted part 23 and cools a block wall between cylinders. In addition, cooling water inside each of these water jackets 17 and 18 passes through each of water holes 19 and 20 of a cylinder head 12, flowing into water jackets 15 and 16 inside the cylinder head 12, and after cooling the cylinder head 12, it is cooled at a radiator and then circulated to the water pump. |
