<p>Inside a horizontal drum an axial shaft rotated in either direction by an external motor is fitted at intervals with radially projecting mixer tools whose heads travel close to the drum wall. Each tool head, formed at the outer end of a stem is symmetrical about its central plane transverse to the shaft. In that plane, however, one end of the head together with its concave flanks forms a relatively longer and sharper shape than that formed on the other side of the stem by the more obtusely angled end and its concave flanks.</p> |
