摘要 The dispenser component has a well with an opening adapted to present a liq. reagent for withdrawal through the well. A means is provided to position a lens of liq., immiscible with the reagent, between the reagent and the opening of the well. - The dispenser has an inner surface and suitable dimensions which combine with the wetting characteristics of the reagent to form a concave reagent meniscus suitable to reliably position the lens of immiscible liq. on it. The lens so formed is centrally located by the concave shape of the meniscus. - The device allows long-term storage of unmixed ingredients and secure packaging for shipping. The dispenser is formed to prevent contamination risks and error in manual reagent prepn. The device is partic. suitable for repeated introduction of reagents into probes of automated analytical systems, e.g. for biological liqs. such as whole blood, serum or plasma. USAB- US4515753 A Integral reagent container comprises a series of wells each of which has an inlet and an outlet, a mechanism for keeping a lens of immiscible liqs. on the reagent surface, and a series of reservoirs connected to a respective well.
