<p>Quinazolin-dione derivs. of formula (I), in which R1 is H, lower alkyl or alkoxy, halogen or trihalomethyl, R2 is H or lower alkyl, Ar is a benzene or aromatic nucleus opt. with one substit. and n is 2-6, are prepd. by (a) treating an aroyl piperidine of formula (II) with a halogenated deriv. of formula X(CH2)nY by phase transference alkylation; and (b) converting the derivs. of formula (III) into (I) by treatment with a quinazolin-dione of formula (IV) in a solvent, e.g. benzene, at 20-100 deg.C in presence of a catalyst.</p> |
