The present invention relates to a restraining (shackle) device for birds, in particular for gallinaceans, preventing the aggressive use of the spurs. The device comprises in combination a cap 10 capable of covering a spur and a means 30 for attaching the cap 10 on the leg of the bird, of adjustable length. Preferably, the attachment means 30 is formed of a flexible strap comprising two series of through-holes 31, 32 into which the dog points 14 provided on the exterior of the cap 10 are engaged. <IMAGE>
