PURPOSE:To improve the flexibility and detecting sensitivity of a temp. detector by specifying the volume fraction of the columnar pyroelectric materials to be embedded perpendicularly to a sheet surface consisting of a sheet-shaped org. material within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The columnar pyroelectric materials 12 consisting of PZT ceramics composed of, for example, lead zirconate titanate and PbO3 as a base body are embedded perpendicularly into the sheet surface of the sheet-shaped org. material 11 consisting of, for example, polyurethane. The volume fraction of the PZT ceramics of the materials 12 is specified within a 0.1-0.5 range, by which the composite pyroelectric material having high flexibility and substantially large performance index M of a pyroelectric effect is obtd. |
