发明名称 POLYMER FEED-IN BY SPRAYING TECHNIQUE IN YARN PRODUCTION
摘要 1485012 Yarns: forming from particulate material E BOBKOWICZ and AJ BOBKOWICZ 16 Oct 1974 [24 Oct 1973] 44756/74 Headings DID, D1F and D1W A method of forming a yarn comprises collecting a first particulate material to form a layer, spraying an interfibre binding material onto the layer, placing a second particulate material onto the sprayed layer, and transforming the composite material into a yarn. As shown. Fig. 1, lickering 20 fibrillates material and feeds staple fibres to form a layer on rotating drum 44 which is grooved,1 Fig. 3, to receive the layer and has suction apertures 45 to retain the layer. One or more yarn additives are applied by nozzle 120, in interfibre binder is sprayed by nozzle 68, a further staple fibre layer is applied from lickering 20', and the materials are consolidated by adjustable roll 130. The binder may be an extrudable polymer resin or resin blend, e.g. polyamides, polyesters, polyolefins, acrylonitriles. One or more additional filaments or strands, e.g. of thermoplastic material, may be fed to the grooved drum, e.g. as strand 75 fed through nozzle 68. Two types of staple fibre may be used. To assist deposition and retention of material on the drum a gas, e.g. air, is supplied to outlets 96 and 112, to spray chamber 72, and to nozzles 100 to whirl the fibres from lickerin 20'. The resulting composite yarn 152 may be then wound up, may be passed between presser rolls 154 and wound into roll 150, may be passed between oscillating belts 180, 182, or may be twisted, e.g. false twisted in a device comprising air-rotated, friction twisting member 212, 214, 220. The yarn is guided within the rotating member, Fig. 2, by flanges on member 242.
