The invention relates to a combine harvester with a mounted chopper, the rotating cutters of which cooperate with stationary countercutters. To improve the chopping quality, a beating edge projecting into the path of movement of the cutting material is provided in front of the cutting point between the rotating and stationary cutters, and the beating edge is assigned an additional stationary cutter.
