PURPOSE:To obtain images of good quality without stain by providing an air current generating means, which generates an air current around a corona discharging means, and an air current control means which changes the air current around the corona discharging means in accordance with operation/non-operation of the corona discharging means. CONSTITUTION:In a duct 61, a shutter member 64 is pivotally supported freely turnably through a supporting shaft 65, and a spring member and a solenoid 67 are connected to the member 64. An aperture part 68 for exhaust is opened to the outside of a device body 20. When the copying operation is performed, the shutter member 64 is placed in the position indicated by a solid line in the figure by the energizing force of a spring member 66, and a weak air current is generated under a reflector 41 in the direction of an arrow C. When the copying operation is terminated, the solenoid 67 is operated, and the shutter member 64 is moved to the position indicated by a broken line in the figure to extend the gap between the reflector 41 and the member 64, and a strong air current is generated in the direction of an arrow C'. Thus, the air current in the charging position is set to such area that there are no problems with respect to image quality at the copying time and a photosensitive body 21 is not degraded, and troubles are eliminated. |
