PURPOSE:To send out a desired answer message and to alter the contents of the answer message by recording an additional answer message on a magnetic tape where the matter of a calling subscriber is recorded, and sending it out on incoming. CONSTITUTION:When the contents of the answer message are altered through the automatic answering telephone device, a magnetic sound recording and reproducing device 4 is set in sound recording mode through a keyboard 10, the additional answer messae is recorded through a microphone 6, and the answer- only mode of the device 4 is set in a control circuit 8 through a keyboard 10. Then, the circuit 8 on detecting an incoming signal closes a changeover switch 3 to send the answer message out of the device 4 and then closes a changeover switch 5 to plate the device 4 in playback mode. The addition answer message which is reproduced is sent out to telephone circuits L1 and L1 through an interface circuit 1 and transmitted to the person making the call, thus sending out the desired answer message. |
