<p>"Electron tube and method of manufacturing said electron tube". In an electron tube comprising a window (2,12) having a radiation-sensitive layer (3,13), the window is laid on a bearing surface (4,14) normal to the tube axis without the interposition of sealing material, while forming a seam. The seam is sealed hermetically by means of a mass (9,19) of indium or an indium alloy in which a wire (10,20) of a metal which is circumferential along the seam and which can be soldered with indium or an indium alloy is embedded. The seal is realized by locally melting the indium or the indium alloy by means of a heated ultrasonically vibrating heat transfer member (17), the heat transfer member traversing a track circumferential along the seam.</p> |
