PURPOSE:To easily settle a caisson by a method in which a sheet pile wall to be slidably coupled in the right-angled direction with the caisson is set on the periphery of the caisson body to construct the sheet pile wall, and the ground under the bottom of the caisson is excavated. CONSTITUTION:The tip caisson 1A is constructed on the ground J where a caission 1 is to be settled and plural grooves 2 are formed vertically at a given interval on the outside of the caisson 1A. The projected lines 31 of steel sheet piles 3 are fitted into the grooves 2 of the outside of the caisson 1A and watertightly connected to set the sheet pile wall. The sheet piles 3 are orderly driven into the ground, the ground K of the bottom of the caisson 1A is excavated, and the caisson 1A is settled. Caissons 1B and 1C are likewise constructed, added with sheet piles 3, and settled. |
