The valve for pressure control of the hydraulic brake of a vehicle has a pressure chamber, connected to a pressure source, such as a master cylinder. Another chamber is connected to a rear wheel brake. The two chambers are joined and an inertia valve prevents communication when deceleration exceeds a given valve. There is also a plunger which slides in a bore and is subject at one end to pressure from the first chamber and at the other to atmospheric or gas pressure. The plunger is acted on by a spring against the hydraulic pressure and another spring to return it.
|
