<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high supercharge pressure by using one of two scroll chambers formed onto a turbine scroll in the low-speed revolution range of an engine and suppressing the partial inflow of exhaust gas towards the inlet of a turbine vane wheel from the nozzle parts. CONSTITUTION:When a control valve 12 closes a hole 11 on a partitioning plate 8, the exhaust gas at a turbine inlet 7 is gathered into a nozzle part 6b through an opened scroll 9. At this time, the inner peripheral surface of a turbine scroll 4 is divided into two scroll chambers 4a and 4b by a partitioning wall 5, and also the nozzle parts 6a and 6b of the outlets of the scroll chambers 4a and 4b are divided into two parts. Since the nozzle part 6b is arranged oppositely over the whole width of the inlet of a turbine vane wheel 1, the exhaust gas smoothly flows towards the turbine wheel 1. Since, when the supercharge pressure increases, the control valve 12 opens the hole 18, and exhaust gas flows into the turbine vane wheel 1 from the both nozzles 6a and 6b.</p> |
