PURPOSE:To provide a molten steel heater having high resistance to erosion by immersing bar-shaped conductive ceramic electrodes into the molten steel in a tundish and casting mold of a continuous casting installation and forming an electricity conducting circuit between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The conductive ceramic electrodes 16-1, 16-2 are respectively immersed into the molten steel stored in a tundish 10 from a ladle nozzle 13 and poured from immersion nozzles 14-1, 14-2 into the casting molds 11-1, 11-2 to form the electricity conducting circuit 17. The molten steel heater having the excellent resistance to erosion concerning the heating of the molten steel of the continuous casting installation is thus obtd. and the effective prevention of the clogging of the pouring nozzles is made possible. |
