Switching installation

The switching installation comprises a metal capsule (1) which is filled with insulating gas and by which in each case at least one power circuit breaker (2), one interruptor circuit breaker (4) an earth and a busbar (for example 7) are held. In the case of this switching installation, two switching pieces (17, 18) (which interact along an axis) of the power circuit breaker (2) are located in a switch housing (12) which is accessible from the exterior. The switching installation is intended to be distinguished by a simple and compact construction in conjunction with good maintainability of its most highly stressed components. This is achieved in that the power circuit breaker (2) is connected inside the metal capsule (1) in the current path formed by a capsule bushing (25), current connections (15, 16) of the power circuit breaker (2) and connecting conductors (3) of the power circuit breaker (2) and interruptor circuit breaker (4). This current path is constructed predominantly in a straight line outside the switch housing (12) and runs essentially transversely with respect to the switching piece axis of the power circuit breaker (2). <IMAGE>
