Expansion joint between two paving slabs - consists of strip of flexible material trapped by bar and clamps between two adjacent sections

The expansion joint is inserted between two slabs or tiles on a terrace or roof. It consists of a strip of flexible material (13) trapped between the sides of two adjacent sections. Each section has a shuttering with smooth rounded edge (4c) so that the strip of flexible material (13) is gripped at each side on a level with the shuttering (4). A small bar (8) holds one side of the strip and is held in position by means of clamps (7) which are held on each bar by means of screws (11) which go through the clamps and fit into a nut (12).
