<p>PURPOSE:To produce a uniform cooling state through the whole body of a steel sheet by forming a cooling device so as not to directly spray a cooling liquid on the fixed range of the front and rear ends of steel sheet in a cooling device for cooling both sides of a thick steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a steel sheet is bitten into a rolling mill C, a steel-sheet position detector C2 detects it to output a detection signal to a control unit 5. The unit 5 makes a dolly 31 for front end start to move; the starting time of this movement is the time when the dolly 31 has finished to shield the front end of a steel sheet B. After that, the dolly 31 moves on a line at the same speed as that of the steel sheet B while maintaining the same shielding state. At the time when the rear end of steel sheet B passed through the mill c, the detector C2 detects it to output a signal to the unit 5. The unit 5 commands the motor 323 of a dolly 32 for rear end to actuate, after a prescribed delay time, and makes the dolly 32 start to move. The starting time of this movement is the time when the dolly 32 has finished to shield the rear end of steel sheet B, and after that, the dolly 32 moves on the line at the same speed as that of the steel sheet B while maintaining the same shielding state.</p> |
