PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of construction for a floating oil preventive dam by a method in which a space is provided over the whole width of an intermediate strut, and a float of a larger length than the width of the space is provided in an axially slidable manner in the space. CONSTITUTION:A float 5 of a larger length than the width of an intermediate strut 3 is provided over the whole width of the space 9 in the strut 3 in a piercing manner, and rollers 8 are attached to the periphery of both end portions of the float 5. The end of the floating oil preventive dam 4 is connected through connecting metals 6 and bellows-shaped oil-proof films 7 to the end of the float 5. Since tensile forces to be applied to the dams 4 directly act to each other through the metals 6 and the float 5, no direct application of tensile forces to the strut 3 occurs, and the outflow of oil can also be prevented by the films 7. |
